FAQ

First and foremost, what, exactly, is a Virtual Assistant? Virtual Assistants (typically abbreviated to VAs), are entrepreneurs who provide professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients from a home office. They usually work for other small businesses and consultancy groups. It is estimated that there are as few as 5,000-8,000 or as many as 35,000 Virtual Assistants worldwide; the profession is growing in centralized economies with "fly-in, fly-out" (FIFO) staffing practices.

Common modes of communication and data delivery include the Internet, e-mail and phonecall conferences, online work spaces, and fax machine. Professionals in this business work on a contractual basis and a long-lasting cooperation is standard. Typically 5 years of administrative experience in an office is expected at such positions as executive assistant, office manager/supervisor, secretary, legal assistant, paralegal, legal secretary, real estate assistant, et cetera.

What are the benefits?

Since we are self-employed, VA's are not an employee of your company. You pay no employee benefits, insurance, taxes or other expenses associated with hiring an employee such as advertising and interviewing. You pay only for the time it takes to complete your project; not down time, lunch or coffee breaks, vacations, sick days, etc. There is no need to acquire office space, equipment or supplies.

From taking over time-consuming tasks that cut into your productivity, to improving your day-to-day processes, to acting as an extension of your own business, the benefits of working with VOA-lá Virtual Services are unlimited. There's only one way to truly understand the benefits of working with us, and that's by experiencing it first-hand. Do I need to use a local VA?

The beauty of VAs being virtual is that location doesn't impact the ability for us to do our jobs. Work is distributed via email, fax, telephone or in some cases, the US Postal service. The location of your business or the location of your VA has no impact on the services that are available to you. If your company relocates, we relocate with you! There will be no need to recruit, hire or train a new employee.
